I struggled so much with the weather when living in Norway. It owned me on every level. Thankfully some amazing Norwegians taught me some of the best lessons in how to survive winter. Here´s my top 10 tips!
Feeling low and stuck in a hole? Bummer! Winter blues are more common than we think. So many of us experience overwhelming feelings during this time, or the well observed fatigue and illness that go hand in hand with excess and Xmas shenanigans. Here are some offerings for ways to feel better (especially if you can't fly south for the winter!)
In no way do I consider myself a doctor. But i've experienced a hell of a lot of insomnia in my lifetime. I know i'm not alone, and am frequently asked about ways to manage it, especially at this time of year, so I thought I would put together some suggestions of ways to banish that beast.
For all of it, we have to start somewhere.
I don't have any problems with self-improvement. What I take issue with, is the need to mask any unsightly parts of ourselves in favour of sellotaping on a “better” person. The idea that one might earnestly gulp down a magic tonic with enthusiastic but unrealistic expectations, hoping it will conveniently discard anything unsavoury.

I’m reflecting on valuable lessons Norway has taught me about slowing down.

I like the idea of calling it "Obscene Macroblogging."

This week i've been thinking a lot about this idea of “letting go” - it's a phrase that´s banded about a lot (i've defo been a culprit in the past!). Sometimes it's implied letting go is a simple and easeful action - a no brainer. But it's a bit of a contradiction i feel. The phrase itself demands awareness and action about a thing, which is ironic considering what the state you're hoping to achieve: non attachment to something, probably.
Let's just get into the body, embrace the feels with no judgement, and breathe and move together.
