“I highly recommend her
1-to-1 sessions for shaping ideas, dreams, goals”

creative coaching

“Dionne is like the Fairy Godmother of Polymaths. I really enjoyed working with her. She has such a wide range of experience and is so easy to talk to. Inspiring, creative, and kind, she really helps open up ideas and shed light on new possibilities.

Her newsletters and playlists are fantastic, her yoga videos are the best (even for someone who isn't the biggest fan of yoga!). I highly recommend her 1-to-1 sessions for shaping ideas, dreams, goals; cheerfully slapping a little structure and sensibility into a nebulous maybe, one day, perhaps grand goal.

She is generous and genuine, handing you key after key to helpful concepts, books, resources and helping you break a big project into manageable steps.
Thank you, Dionne.”

FAQs

When do i get my follow up package?

I will send you your customised package within 48 hours of our call. This will be emailed to you.

bob ross.gif

Do i have to check back in after a month to update you? What if i don’t stick to my plan?

Part of the creative process is being creative with change! I’m here to support you with accountability for your journey, some people find it useful to have that option to acknowledge their process but it’s not mandatory.

Also, If you don’t stick to your plan, that’s ay ok! This 1+1 isn’t about me telling you what to do, and you following a script. Part of this process is about practicing your power to be creative in all circumstances. Having autonomy of the decisions you choose to make and to be confident in your voice and actions.

But i’m not creative, i work a 9-5 as a finance administrator. I just have a dream of living more creatively.

…um, we’re all creative, beloved!

But i hear you, we can sometimes forget that we have inherent creativity that’s accessible to us, always.

Ru

If you feel an urge to “live more creatively”, i would ask you to get specific about what that means. I can help you find out whether that means changing careers, but first off, support you with tools to remember and start actively claiming space to live creatively, no matter what your “day job” is.

As each session is customised to the individual, it’s likely that our collaboration will be exploring ways for you to tap into your creativity. To create habits that feel good, and ignite that creative fire for you again, so you can reignite your relationship with your creativity and practice in your real life, day-to-day.

Black Panther

I’m into dreams, but also action and discipline where it’s helpful. So we will look at blocks or limitations and i can support you to find ways to work with them.

No force, more feel good!

More on my coaching style here 🐳

This custom-made blog/podcast/video you make, is it just for me or will you also use this content?

I will make this piece to and for you, however, as this is a collaborative process, i reserve the right to have the option to share the content i make, but this will not include your name - unless you specifically request that.

I already work in the creative industries. I see you do many different things and i want to do what you do. Exactly that. Those workshops you run, for example. Can you help me do the workshops the way you do them?

whitney and natalie yisssss

Well, i wouldn’t recommend you doing exactly what i do, the way i do it. i want you to do you, and celebrate your own unique gifts and creativity!  -in fact, nobody can really copy someone else’s sauce (more on copycats here) i’m much more into celebrating each others unique recipe, hence the collaboration of two humans in order to create magic!

A reminder:

“no one is you, and that is your power…”

However, I get that formulas can “sell”, and some folks offer 6-figure promises and a copy-paste approach, so if you’re looking for that, i’m not for you, which is ay ok! Bon voyage! 🚢

angelagif

But i can help you discover ways to practice using your own creative voice. And be in touch with expressing that in real and accessible ways. I can help support you with logistics, brainstorm ideas, help you get clear on your intention, so even if you decide workshops feel like the thing you want to do, it’s always going to be in your voice and your way of doing it. I’m also into the “boring details”. The practical details of how you can make things work so obviously these sessions can be helpful for you if you’re interested in getting help with that.

I am always generously sharing all parts of my process, but, i don’t think one persons approach is the only way of doing something. Hence why my coaching style is collaborative: i won’t force feed you “one way”. I am interested in what makes you tick. What you want and need. How you want to say and do that. And problem-solving solutions that work for you. That feel good. Authentic to you. And accessible, working with what you have right now.

I also also take a super serious emphasis on space for being amidst the doing, a holistic approach that takes self care into consideration.

I don’t have a specific project in mind. Not sure what i want to make. I have a bit of a block with my creativity to be honest. Could you help someone like me?

giphy-5.gif

I can and i have. I can support you explore where you’re at right now and hold space for you to be in the season you’re in (you might be in a season where rest is best, for example, and a great thing you can do is explore “play”, getting clear on what lights you up, which is one of my specialist subjects, if you’ve ever listened to my podcast, you’ll know this comes up in every episode).

I can also support you if you’re in a season where you might have an idea under the surface but perhaps are blocked by fear. We can take small steps to work with that too. It’s a collaboration, so providing you feel ready to explore, i’m ready to meet you!

I struggle with depression and am looking for creative support in my romantic life. Can you coach me with that?

I am not a therapist, but i encourage all of us to explore therapy that resonates. Here are some resources (scroll to the links).

Nor do i work as a relationship coach. Loads of great people out there doing the good work though! Good luck!

Is this creative coaching just for those people looking to make money from their art? What about those of us who want to do it for our soul?

First question, no, this collaboration is not only for people who use creativity in their work, but I certainly work with lots of people who do, as well as many who aren’t labelled an “artist” specifically. For example, some of my clients are teachers, marketers, administrators, managers, full time parents, hairdressers, chefs and more. I don’t put creativity in a box that can only belong to some kinds of people. We are all creative beings. If you have a project or passion, it’s worthy of time and attention and nurturing.

Christina is doing work on the computer.gif

And as for soul nourishment, that’s the foundation of The Work, whether you make money from your creativity or not. I support people to create practices that work for them. To explore their relationship to creativity. To show up for themselves and it. To devour doubt and find their voice and truth through expression. That expression might be private or public. Paid or unpaid. But still yours and true.

I’m a singer. Do you work with any singers?

every cube of space deserves to be loved.gif

I have done yes, also musicians, producers, composers, music managers, label heads and more from my background working in the music industry over the past 28 years. I have a particular penchant for sound exploration as a vehicle for processing and practicing expression, so lots to dig deep into, if you’re interested!

Do you work with writers?

I do! words are my jam! I run yoga + writing workshops too and in my interactive holistic events, writing is often a crucial offering in our explorations! But yes, writers of all kinds welcome!

Do you work with groups and/or organisations?

Yes! But this 1+1 offering is for individuals. But you can get in touch to find out about personalised creative workshops and interactive talks i do for organisations, corporate and not-for-profit.

I’m a single parent and worried about the workload of this creativity coaching, do i have to make a lot of time for it?

To be honest, it’s true that what you put into something, you get out. But that’s not necessarily about duration, it’s the quality of attention i think. So, in theory, you need enough time to fill in a questionnaire before our call (up to 30 minutes would be great), then 60 minutes for the call itself. Following that, your package, resources etc can be done in your own time. Then, the follow up email response is optional (but a useful reflection exercise for many i’m told!)

eartha and her gown.gif

On the call, we will discuss accessible and sustainable ways for you to implement strategy to get where you want to go, so that you can get the most from the tools i offer. You having limited time will absolutely be factored into this process! We start with you because it all comes from you. I am interested in this call giving you confidence to feel connected to and show up for yourself in ways that feel manageable and impactful. My intention is not in you thinking or overwhelming yourself with lots of stuff in order to feel “valid”. I believe you can do so much with just 5 minutes per day. So if you have that, you’re already set!

Also, bear in mind my approach is holistic - work and rest are connected! If your workload is already huge, i’m likely to encourage more attention and emphasis on how to reduce tension and problem-solve ways to make your workload more manageable and easeful so you have more quality time to take care of yourself, for yourself, and your fam.

How soon can i book in with you?

Once you’ve sent your booking form over, i will be in touch with you within 48 hours with my availability so you can book yourself in. I always do what i can to make space for these 1+1 creative coaching collaborations, and take into account any relevant deadlines and preferred times and dates you mention in your booking form. I open a limited number of slots for 1+1 sessions each month, depending on current long-term creative coaching client bookings (they get first dibs on my calendar) and creative projects running throughout the year.

Can i work with you over a longer period of time?

mimi deep dive.gif

At present, i’m not taking on any more longer-term creative coaching clients as i limit the amount of coaching clients i work with at any given time, so i can ensure i give hearty and full attention to each and every glorious one. This goes for my 1+1’s too, see question above for more details on that.

However, you are welcome to stay updated via my Digest where i always announce any new offerings first if a space becomes available.

Am i too old for creative coaching?

What is “old”, my friend? I mean, if you’re wondering if creativity has an expiry date then no.

I think there’s always value in collaboration, it offers a different perspective, whatever age you’re at, “old” or “young”, whatever. I believe there’s always something that can be learned. I for one hope i never stop learning or exploring every day!

If you’re concerned about age i’d encourage you to look to many muses out there who are “old” in your eyes. I am sure they will remind you and inspire you to take a leap with doing what you want to do. I’m not just talking about coaching here. I’m talking about living life on your own terms. Doing you. This is authentic creative living!

I’m deaf, is there a way you can offer this creative coaching session via text chat rather than voice call?

Absolutely! Get in touch my friend!

Why me?

I am living proof of creating something from nothing. Over and over. And over. Different countries, mediums, practices, industries and explorations (part of my experience is to remind you, you can begin again, and again as many times as you like and want)

Making things happen. Creating without seeking external validation, or waiting to be offered space or permission or be invited to the table. Instead, building my own damn table (since 1980).

Bypassing the systems that don’t reflect who i am or what i’m trying to do. That ask me to compromise my purpose so i can “fit in” to limiting offers on the menu. Because i know you can change the menu. Create your own. Show up as your whole damn self. With integrity and authenticity that’s real and true. Do you.

I can help you to tap into your creative sauce (cause the sauce 💦 is more powerful and longer-lasting than the juice!) Encourage and bolster you with ideas to approach getting your creative goals off the ground and into real life, not pretend.

I will also, incessantly remind and support you to focus on trusting yourself, your vision and your voice. To create your own ideas of “success”, so you can feel more confident and avoid comparing yourself to anyone else.

There is no competition.

I have a lot of experience in helping, supporting, reassuring, inspiring and encouraging others create the things they want to see in this world. And i love to see it, good people thriving, you know?

Creative Beings…

to those of you whose face doesn’t fit.

who are doing things “differently” to the “norm”

who are dismissing words like “norm” and “different” as pomp

because you’re in your own lane

i see you.

to those who might be overlooked,

be outside of the centre, beyond the box and borders,

i celebrate you.

you defy rules

reject the copy-paste mentality

revoke the uninspiring “nod of approval”

distance yourself from ways of being that pander to ways of doing things one way

“because it’s always been done that way and so should therefore remain so….”

respectfully,

i hold space for you to be you.

to shine with your own unique talents

i hold space too for you to explore. to dig deep. to go journey and to come on an adventure with me

a collaborative creative coaching space where we honour where you’re at

and create a roadmap for where you want to be

perhaps it hasn’t been drawn yet

perhaps you’ve hit obstacles, resistance, doubt and disappointment or just the space of fearing your own ability

i’ll remind and encourage you to explore trusting yourself, the process, whilst also offering guidance and tools from my own quest, if relevant and of service.

most of all,

i hold space for you to create space for yourself.

to remember.

your purpose (you know and feel it even if it doesn’t seem “clear” yet)

to honour your journey. your process. your voice. your self.

to take care of you on your creative mission.

to help you up and bypass roadblocks where i can.

offer tools and shortcuts and reassurance

kinship and collaboration

cause

- to be out here, on your mission, creating the things you want to see that don’t exist yet -

it’s not an easy road, but it’s an authentic and rewarding one.

no comparison or competition

but clarity and compassion and community

good energy and enthusiasm

generously.

let doubt and fear begone and replace them with trust and truth and integrity and a clearer perspective

the journey.

The Work.tm

the sauce (your sauce!) 💦

Dear Spacemaker,

you have this, know this

with or without me along for the ride. i believe it.

and if something inside yearns for collaborative spacemaking,

support with your creative goals,

with emphasis on being as much as doing,

i see you

i celebrate you

i’ve got you

(yes, i read this in the Bubz voice)

but i have faith and trust and mean every word.

Ready to take the leap with me?
