“I am a big fan of Dionne and Ketil’s retreats. The perfect way to spend summer days that bring you back to yourself. Every day, indulging in luxurious, energising and restorative yoga, movement and meditation sessions, feasting on the most delicious food prepared for breakfast and lunch, recipes shared from the hearts of our hosts with heaps of take home tips- so generous!

Evenings were spent in the most wonderful restaurants sipping natural wine and enjoying organic fresh and nutritious meals with the best company of likeminded people. I enjoyed the international crowd which i think brings an extra special element.

Every detail in their retreats feel intentional and selected to compliment the experience! I could just arrive and know i was being taken care of in every way.

I returned home inspired! And with many things they tipped me off on! I had time to enjoy beach life, as well as great vintage and unique shopping in charming independent boutiques.

This experience is highly recommended and many of my friends who i told about this retreat would agree!

I will be back!”

Reconnect.

Often our lives are going 100 miles an hour getting all the things done: family obligations, making magic happen and juggling all kinds of to-dos. It's time to take care of YOU; breathe out, replenish, reset and restore your vitality before heading back to start your autumn with the best possible foundation. Carve out some time for yourself to reconnect.

Explore.

You deserve all the good things. Get inspired with creative activities. Acquire some new healthy recipes to take home from the daily breakfast and lunch feasts. Discover hidden local gems for evening meals. Explore Brighton's culture scene or take a cleansing walk in the sunshine along the shore, or cycle to a quaint local village for a cream tea. Indulge in a massage from our recommended therapist, or simply stay in the cosy luxury of our home base in the heart of the North Laine.

Do You.

We believe your relationship with wellness isn’t something that’s carbon copied or a “one size fits all”. We also believe that it should feel good. Indulgent. Luxurious. Personal. A way of life that meets your needs, not something that deprives you or makes you feel bad.

We like to create a personal, meaningful and accessible experience with activities that are sustainable so you can then recreate the stuff that resonates back home, or wherever you are, in your own way.

Your setting: Brighton!

…..a seaside town that’s also a city by the sea, which has adjectives thrown at it including: alternative, creative, “quirky”, charming, cosy, eclectic, open-minded and fun!

Geographically, Brighton is a sunny town (the sunniest in the UK!), located on the south coast, and the vast seaside panorama certainly adds to the spacious feeling. Colourful and creative, it contains more than 365 restaurants, an attitude of celebrating individuality, many independent boutiques, coffee shops and restaurants, a place that’s easy to be a vegan or vegetarian (or not!), shopping that is unique and fabulous, and did i mention the vintage?

Pubs, bars, live music, festivals, food markets, holistic therapies, arthouse cinemas, supper clubs, car boot sales, spas, pug meet-up groups, beautiful architecture, beach life, history, minutes from the South Downs nature, beautiful parks, museums, galleries, paddleboarding, cosmopolitan atmosphere and cycle rides along the seafront, the list is really endless.

Brighton has something for everyone all year round. It can provide the wild party nights (and days) and leave you breathless if you have the energy, but it can also be a quiet and calm resort, full of pampering, meandering cobbled streets and alleyways finding solitary space and peace.

Your Yoga

Guess we’ll handover to Dionne for this one:

I support people to take up space in the world and encourage them to explore what feels good to them. The “style” of the sessions will offer a balance of “dynamic” and “restorative” yoga, but you always get to choose your own seasoning darling cause that’s how i roll in all ways! You might be a beginner or have experience, all are welcome, cause this retreat space offers individual attention to work with what you have and deepen your practice in ways that are (hopefully) delicious! I will also be focussing on meditation techniques (space to “start” or “begin your practice again” or continue with what you’re doing), ritual, breath work, and a range of styles yoga, somatic and creative movement. Sessions are not obligatory, plus, if you know me, i also welcome space for you to have a snooze if you feel like, so as with any practice, and life, take it as you feel!

…can you tell getting stuck on “labels” around the yoga stuff is tricky for me? All of the “quotation marks”!

But seriously, if you want to read more about my “style” click here.

If you want more on my “yoga philosophy” that is ever evolving since the year 2000, click here.

‘Already after the first yoga session the same afternoon we arrived, I felt more connected and open in my body and mind. (...) To open up and get in touch with feelings, mind and body in the Dionne combination of exercises is magic! I felt so safe and taken care of!’
- Hilde
