The biggest myth…

Some old scribbles from the mat 🧘🏽‍♀️ ...I was more hunched on hands and knees like this tho:🐊 or even this: 🐉 rather than the stereotypical lotus pose emoji —🤷🏽‍♀️

“The biggest myth is that the body is symmetrical and that somehow, if we discover imbalance between one side and the other, that we need to ‘put it right’ and usually that is done by some kind of force. The most balancing thing we can do for the body is to witness it as is. To breathe fully, observing our discoveries at each moment. Through this ‘seeing’ we enable a more compassionate gaze and thus, the body responds in kind. We begin to befriend the body. Sometimes after what might be a long period of being estranged. Distant. Strangers. We begin to come home. Realising it’s been here all along.”
