The Last Black Man in San Francisco
I feel like i’ve been excitedly waiting to see this movie for an age!
It also reminds me of a great film also set in rapidly gentrifying San Francisco Medicine for Melancholy
But what i really hope you’ll find inspiring as i did last week, is this interview with Jimmie Fails, the lead and co-creator of the film via one of my fave podcasts, The Nod. I love that they discuss sun signs (spoiler alert: two Scorpios in conversation) , art as activism, the values that attach you to locations in the world, how rare we see a deeply loving relationship between two black men in film.
